It's A...

BOY!!! We found out yesterday that we are having a boy! I was right all along! We are so excited. We both wanted a boy and can’t believe we actually got exactly what we wanted. The first thing was saw on the ultrasound was that he is definitely a boy, haha! Then we saw him moving around and wiggling a lot. At one point he had his legs all the way over his body with his toes almost touching his forehead. The ultrasound tech said, "You’ve got a little monkey in there!" She took measurements of everything but the head because by the time she was going to measure the head, he had settled down with his head towards my back and would not budge. I was like, "He’s stubborn just like his Daddy!" So I get to have an extra ultrasound in a month to measure the head. :) Everything they measured looked great and I’m still measuring exactly where I’m supposed to. It’s so great being able to call our baby a "he" now!

This week the baby is the length of a banana, about 10 inches long and weighs about 10 ½ ounces, about the size of a cantaloupe and he now has working taste buds. I’ve finally been able to feel little bitty kicks here and there too!

One of my new crazy symptoms is I really have "pregnancy brain" these days. I have all these weird thoughts and apparently sing without noticing. The other day Brandon and I were in the car on the way to church and he asks me what song I was singing while I was drying my hair. I had no idea I had even been singing! I was like oh no, I’m singing and don’t even realize it! Brandon says I’m singing because I’m full of joy. Awww, sweet.
